  7. DECadvantage ╤ 3770 Emulator is a software product for SCO UNIX which emulates
  8. the IBM 3776 Communication Terminal model 3 operator panel and console display.
  9. The 3770 Emulator allows interactive creation and control of jobs to be
  10. executed on a remote host system using any SCO UNIX system's display terminal.
  11. Up to 13 devices are supported. The IBM 3770 I/O devices: card reader, card
  12. punch, diskette storage, and printer are mapped into the UNIX file system. The
  13. 3770 Emulator supports multiple LUs with up to six independent LU-LU sessions.
  14. The multiple secondary LUs can be defined to connect to different SNA hosts, by
  15. using the SNA/LU03 Server or SNA Server. The 3770 Emulator has a command line
  16. interface for application controlled operation and an automatic job submission
  17. utility for unattended transfer of data and job control information. It
  18. supports space compression and expansion, decompaction of received data,
  19. transparent communication, and provisions to use language-specific code
  20. translation tables. The 3770 Emulator supports distributed processing for
  21. multiple 3770 Emulators on networked SCO UNIX systems using one data
  22. communication port, which can also be shared with other SNA services.
